Linda Lee
Linda Lee was born in Cleveland, Ohio. Linda is a nationally recognized impressionist.
Ms. Lee's work has been recently featured in the New England Flower and Garden Shows, Boston, MA 2002-05, Newport Flower and Garden Shows, Newport, R.I., 2002-05, The Northeast Flower & Garden Show, Portland, Maine, Festival of the Arts, Chatham, MA, The National Home and Garden Show, Cleveland, Ohio, Edison Electric Invitational in Orlando, Florida and Philadelphia, PA and many others.
Gardens are Linda's special métier. She has traveled throughout Europe, Canada, the Caribbean and the United States in search of gardens and landscapes to stimulate her imagination and inspire her work.
As a frequent visitor and painter in Monet's garden, her style certainly portrays the life of the gardens. From the rich vermilion hues of the oriental poppies to the serene blues and greens in the inverted images reflected in the water garden. Every turn of the garden path has provided another inspired composition of graceful motion and color.
Linda taught art for twenty-seven years in public and private schools. She was the Chair of the Visual Arts Department at Hathaway Brown School, Shaker Heights, Ohio for the last eighteen years. She retired from her teaching position in 1999, relocating to South Yarmouth, Massachusetts on Cape Cod. She now continues her painting as a full time occupation. Since her first New England exhibit in March 2001, her art has sold extremely well and also has a number of commissions now in progress. Linda's art is now on exhibit in galleries throughout New England and in Ohio. She has had one-person shows throughout the United States.
Ms. Lee attended Ohio University, Athens, Ohio and received her BFA in 1970.
