Denise Ferran


Denise Ferran BA (Hons) MFA. Ph.D

After leaving St. Mary’s College of Education in 1969, Denise Ferran taught art for twenty years and was Head of the art Department at St. Dominic’s High School, Belfast until she moved to the Ulster Museum becoming Head of Education. She was awarded a Ph.D in Art History in 1997 by Trinity College Dublin and an honorary MFA by the University of Ulster in 1996 for Services to Art Education.

A practicing artist since 1963, An Associate of the Royal Ulster Academy, she annually exhibits at the Royal Hibernian Academy and had had a number of solo and group exhibitions in Ireland and the USA.
