Sue Bryan
“I love to draw. I work primarily in charcoal. I love the hands-on approach to the medium and the warm, earthy tones and textures I can achieve on natural watercolor paper. Charcoal helps me to say what I want to say.” Sue Bryan
Born and raised in Ireland, self-taught artist Sue Bryan now lives and works in New York City. In 2005 she started selling prints of her pen and ink drawings throughout the US, Canada, and more recently Ireland. In March 2010 she was invited to take part in her first exhibition “Ireland, Time and Again” in Lorica Artworks, Andover, MA. Her work has since been selected for several juried exhibitions including the prestigious Bradley International Print and Drawing Exhibition held in the Heuser Art Center, Illinois in March 2011. In August 2011 her drawing ‘Farmer’ was awarded ‘Best of Show’ at the Salmagundi Non-Member Photography and Graphics Exhibition held in the Salmagundi Art Club, New York City.
